Terry Aldershof and War Veteran Suicides

Terry Aldershof, independent writer and editing professional, talks about the research and work he's done regarding the unprecedented spike in war veteran suicides and post traumatic stress disorder.  Terry says that when the first combat veterans started returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, our government noticed an immediate uptick in suicides. By 2006, the numbers had increased from 1 in 10 to 1 in 7 returning veterans would either attempt or actually commit suicide. By the time he got involved in the project in 2010 that number had risen to 1 in 5. That rate is 300% higher than the national average. Of that number, nearly 90% of those 1 in 5 are now homeless and living on the streets. More on his website at http://www.anatomy-of-a-haunting.com/
